Proposals for Flashpoint Gallery's September 2010 - August 2011 season
Cultural Development Corporation (CuDC) is requesting proposals for Flashpoint Gallery's September 2010 - August 2011 season. Open to all artists, independent curators and arts organizations presenting contemporary work in any medium.

All proposals must be received no later than 5 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2009.
Flashpoint Gallery presents cutting-edge contemporary art and provides a springboard for talented artists and curators to enhance their careers. The gallery seeks to inspire creativity and encourage the creation of new work by emerging and under-represented artists and curators. CuDC is seeking inventive, original proposals in any media.
This year, for the first time, CuDC is partnering with The Community Foundation of the National Capital Region to make grants to artists participating in the Flashpoint Gallery Program. The Creative Communities Fund (CCF) will provide grants of up to $2500 to artists to support the creation and presentation of new work. DC area artists applying to the Flashpoint Gallery are encouraged to submit grant applications in conjunction with their program applications.

Cultural Development Corporation (CuDC) seeks artists to participate in the 2010 Source Festival's Artistic Blind Dates.
All applications for Artistic Blind Dates and Directors & Designers programs must be received no later than 5 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2009. For more information and applications visit sourcedc.org.
Artistic Blind Dates
Up to twelve diverse artists will be teamed up on a five-month creative process that will culminate with performances at the 2010 Source Festival.
Selected artists will receive grants of up to $750 that may be used as a stipend and/or to provide any necessary materials for the project.
Open to individual DC area artists of any discipline, including dance, installation, film, literary arts, multidisciplinary, music, new media, performance art, playwrighting, sound art, spoken word, storytelling, theatre, video and visual arts.
