We now accept applications from visual artists from all over the world. Please note: currently enrolled students are not eligible.

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.
Application is open to all professional visual artists from all over the world. The deadline for receiving (not postmarked) applications is Friday, December 19, 2008. No exceptions.

2. A current resume: if more than one page please make sure to staple it. No paper clips.
3. Documentation of your work. You can either submit images OR video documentation. Please note that if you submit both, only the images will be viewed. Video documentation applies ONLY to work that is time-based, interactive, web-based, kinetic, film, video and performance. If you work with installation, site-specific, painting, sculpture and/or drawing, you must submit images.
IMAGES:
Six (6) jpeg images, at 180 dpi resolution, maximum file size 2 MB, in a CD. Images must be titled with your lastname, firstname, number: e.g.: jonesmary1.jpg, jonesmary2.jpg. **Please note: we only accept jpegs: no slides, no photos. Do not submit: Powerpoint presentations, PDF, TIFF, Gif or PSD files.
VIDEO:
Film, video, performance, time-based, web-based, interactive, kinetic, and/or new media artists should submit a DVD of up to 5 individual clips that are no longer than 3 minutes each. Please create a menu on the DVD that lists the works in the order you wish them to be viewed. DVD must be PC compatible.
4. ONE PAGE WORK DESCRIPTION/IMAGE LIST/VIDEO SCRIPT:
-A numbered list of the images submitted (or video script) with the title, date, size and medium of the work. If needed, a brief (2-3 sentences) description can be included. Please make sure to include your name at the top of the page.
ADDITIONAL MATERIAL: Please do NOT send catalogs, brochures, reviews or articles. Any additional material will not be considered and will be discarded.
PACKAGING YOUR SUBMISSION: Please do not over package your submission with excessive bubble wrap, scotch tape, folders, plastic sleeves, binders or paper clips. A simple hard-plastic CD case in a padded envelope will be enough to secure your CD arrives safely. Resume, application and image list can be folded.
RETURN OF MATERIAL: As of 2009 we no longer return material. Please make sure to send us only copies, not original works, master copies or limited editions.
NOTIFICATION: All applicants will be notified by email by March 15 2009.

Art Omi is a not-for-profit residency program for international visual artists, writers, musicians and dancers as well as the site for The Fields Sculpture Park, a year round public exhibition space for contemporary sculpture. Located in Omi, New York, a Hudson River Valley hamlet two and a half hours from New York City, Omi is situated on 480 acres of rolling farmland with spectacular views of the Catskills and the river valley.
