Senior Lecturer in Photography Practice, London College of Communication
Deadline: Monday, September 22, 2008
£38,912 - £46,911 pa
This is your opportunity to work with a diverse and talented collection of students at the forefront of photography education. You will teach and assess photography practice at undergraduate and postgraduate level; helping to plan courses, manage modules and year groups, and undertake admissions responsibilities. There will be technical tuition involved and you will be expected to contribute to theory/practice seminars, research student supervision and exhibitions, public lectures and research centre activities.
You should therefore be a practising artist or photographer with an understanding of the critical and cultural context of photographic practice. You regularly exhibit or have work published and have a relevant postgraduate qualification (or equivalent experience). A commitment to teaching and management at Higher Education level is equally important. With this, plus good communication, leadership and technical skills, you will support and inspire.
In return, we offer a competitive employment package including a salary that reflects working in London; generous annual leave; a final salary pension scheme; and a commitment to your continuing personal and career development in an environment that encourages creativity, diversity and excellence. Relocation assistance is also available.
