Artist-run Land Art Project, The Pyrenees, France
Deadline: 10 September 2008
Applications are invited from sculptors working with natural or found objects to participate in an artist-run land art project in the Pyrenees in the south of France.
The aim of the residency is to create a piece, or series of pieces, of permanent (or semi-permanent) land art which will remain on the site at the end of the residency. This opportunity would suit a recent graduate.
What you get:
a busman's holiday with free accommodation in an idyllic village in the south of France
an opportunity to make a site specific work which will enrich your portfolio and CV
What we get:
a piece of land art
the opportunity to meet like-minded artists
Unfortunately we cannot offer a fee or travel expenses. The accommodation is in a wooden chalet situated on the land where the artist will be working.
The residency will take place over two weeks during November-December 2008. (Dates to be arranged to suit).
Please apply by email with photos of recent work and a CV and/or your website URL.
If you are on the short-list we will discuss the site with you and request a proposal.
