Aesthetica is looking for undiscovered talent.
The Aesthetica Annual Creative Works Competition is a new and inspiring competition, which will result in the production of the Aesthetica Annual Publication.
After five years of accepting submissions for Aesthetica Magazine, and due to the ever-increasing volume of submissions, we have decided to run an annual competition, which is open to poetry, fiction and artwork. The new Aesthetica Annual will be a launch pad for creativity
Deadline for submissions is 31 August 2008. All winners will be notified by 31 October 2008 and the Aesthetica Annual will be published 25 November 2008.
The Aesthetica Annual will be available at Borders stores nationwide, and will showcase the best creative works from 2008. It will take the form of an A4, glossy coffee-table book.
The competition is simple - send us your best creative works and our team of Editors will select a winner entry for each category, and the shortlist of runners up will receive a slot in the Aesthetica Annual as well.

The Categories
There are three categories: Artwork & Photography, Fiction and Poetry.
Artwork & Photography
Submit up to 5 images
All works must be at least 300dpi
Please send all images as JPG, TIF or PDF files
Please include in the email your name, email address, home address, phone number, your full name, title of your works, and your online payment reference number
Please mark your entry in the subject line with 'Aesthetica Annual Competition Artwork'
No alterations can be made once the submission has been received
Fiction
Submit up to 3 short stories
Word count up to 2000 words per piece
Any genre considered
Please include in the email your name, email address, home address, phone number, your full name, title of your works, and your online payment reference number
Please mark your entry in the subject line with 'Aesthetica Annual Competition Fiction'
No alterations can be made once the submission has been received
Poetry
Submit up to 5 poems
No more than 40 lines each
Any genre considered

Eligibility
The competition is open to anyone in the world
Creative works should be written in English
Please inform us if your work have been published elsewhere
An entry/administration fee of £10 is required for each category
You may submit more than once
You will be notified by 31 October 2008
Winners
There will be three winners. One from each category
Each winner will receive £500
Winners will be the first published work in their creative section
Winners will also receive an annual subscription to Aesthetica Magazine (value £28)
Winners will receive a complimentary copy of the Aesthetica Annual
Runners-up
Runners-up will be published in the Aesthetica Annual
Runners-up will receive a complimentary copy of the Aesthetica Annual
