Brooklyn, NY,3rd Ward, a 20,000 sq. ft. multi-arts mega space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn just added a 2,000 sq. ft. Think Tank to the plethora of services they provide creative professionals. The space is furnished with work-stations for freelancers looking for a professional edge, a serious work environment and a community of New York's finest and most vibrant creative professionals.
3rd Ward currently provides office space to 25 freelancers and independent business owners and it's the only place in town where you have a jewelry maker, fashion designer, music producer, professional writer and stop motion animator ordering lunch together.?
3rd Ward is a member-based facility created for artists by artists.
The space houses three gorgeous photo studios, a professional wood and metal shop, a fully loaded digital media lab, an art gallery, private & shared office space and a multi-disciplinary continuing art education program.
This latest addition to the space was made specifically with New York City's freelancers in mind. 3rd Ward wanted to offer creative professionals a little more then a cheap desk.
Starting at $299 per month, custom packages are available including a private desk, wireless internet, reception services, personal mailboxes and an "I Heart Brooklyn" membership which grants unlimited access to all that 3rd Ward has to offer - including FREE classes.
Executive Directors Jason Goodman and Jeremy Lovitt found that the lack of affordable space in New York City was shaping the kind of work that could be produced by local artists. "It's difficult to support yourself as a working artist and the options are limited; either you work at home and don't have the space and tools you need, or you sacrifice creative freedom and work for someone else," says Goodman, "3rd Ward is our solution."
